Artcoustic Launch New Showroom in Copenhagen

An ever widening product range and increasing demand for their high-end, elegantly designed demonstration facilities has led Artcoustic to open its latest showroom in Denmark.
Artcoustic, the Danish manufacturer of exclusive high-end wall mounted speakers launch their new flagship showroom in Copenhagen, Denmark on Holmens Kanal 7, 1060 Copenhagen. This will be the newest branch to join the list of Artcoustic showrooms around the world which include Dubai, London, New York, Hong Kong and Moscow to name just a few. The new 200 square meter showroom is revolutionary because it is the first of its kind to represent an integrated living space fully fitted with Artcoustic speaker systems giving clients, customers, interior designers and architects the opportunity to experience the brand in a truly stylish home and commercial setting.

Strong attention has been given to quality and design and the showroom seizes attention from the start. It has been conveniently laid out in an open display concept that will allow the customer to receive an Artcoustic experience in a luxurious and relaxed ambience. The interior provides a soothingly lit atmosphere and features the Artcoustic loudspeaker range among elegant and contemporary furniture designs.

Different Artcoustic entertainment options is made available allowing the customer the option to choose from a system ranging from a basic audio system to a complete multi-room solution. This new Artcoustic showroom will set a new benchmark for quality and aesthetics by offering high-end loudspeakers that not only complement the interior but satisfy both partners, appealing to the female as well as male clientele thus making it the “happy couple” showroom.
“We know what it takes to provide the ultimate customer experience and look forward to providing the Danish market with the Artcoustic speaker range. With our state-of-the-art product offering we are thrilled to raise the bar in providing the utmost in hi-fi system needs. We are proud to further expand the company’s tradition of excellence in aesthetics and high-end sound quality to Denmark”, says Artcoustic Co-founder and Creative Director Patricia Ljungberg

Camouflage or Eye catcher

The business concept for Artcoustic evolved from the idea of providing an exclusive loudspeaker system to consumers that shared a passion for superb sound quality and a preference for design that reflected their own personalities and tastes. The Artcoustic loudspeaker range has been designed for today’s diverse interiors for the home, home cinemas, corporate boardrooms, professional recording studios, restaurants and hotels. The loudspeakers are flat, only 6cm and 12.7cm deep. The sleek design gives the loudspeaker the character of a picture that can hang discreetly on the wall. This is enhanced by the individual freedom that allows the customer to choose the look of the front of the speakers. Home and commercial interiors have always been very important to the Danes and in the past few years this has become a top priority. Artcoustic builds loudspeakers with this in mind and allows customers to personalize and completely match their interior, says Artcoustic Co-founder and Creative Director Patricia Ljungberg . Artcoustic offers the customer a wide variety of images and access to their exclusive Getty Images Gallery photo archives. However, the customer can also specify their own personal pictures to decorate the fronts resulting in a bespoke design.

NewArtcoustic Expands Its Speaker Line with Diablo Sub Panel Professional Subwoofer

New subwoofer sets the standard for high performance bass reproduction

Copenhagen, Denmark, 2007 – Artcoustic, the world leader in modern and contemporary wall mounted high-end speaker systems, today expanded its product line with the introduction of the new Diablo Sub Panel Subwoofer that establishes a new benchmark in performance and design. This compact and beautifully designed new model is a creation of Mr. Kim Donvig and performs like a professional subwoofer, delivering exceptionally powerful and dynamic output.

The Diablo Sub Panel is a passive design and uses the highly acclaimed Artcoustic PA-300 300 Watt Multipurpose Amplifier.  This offers fantastic flexibility in installations as only speaker cable is required to run to the subwoofer – no mains power is needed to the enclosure. This enables the subwoofer to be placed where it looks and sounds its best , rather than near a power outlet. Because the Diablo is so flexible in it’s positioning, this also makes for a simpler and cleaner installation.  The Diablo can be positioned easily and discreetly eliminating obtrusive cable displays thereby avoiding  the new regulations that  require main outlets to be positioned higher than previously resulting in unattractive power line displays.

The sleek, compact and modern Diablo Sub Panel is contemporary in its design, a trademark of the Artcoustic design ethos . It is unobtrusive and blends harmoniously into any décor and interior. “The challenge was to achieve high performance from a compact subwoofer in a design that was aesthetically pleasing”, stated Kim Donvig, CEO, Artcoustic. This also makes it the perfect choice for most high-end installations; residential or commercial from high end home cinemas and multi purpose audio systems to hotels, bars and restaurants. However, the Diablo Sub Panel would fit just as nicely with a 2 channel hi fi system, as it is equally exciting at low levels or high levels.

Turn your Artcoustic Linax Duo cabinet into one massive subwoofer!

The Diablo Sub Panel has been designed to fit inside the Artcoustic Linax Duo Cabinet. For very demanding applications, up to two Diablo Sub Panels can fit into one single Linax Duo cabinet allowing for one super subwoofer. This sleek enclosure makes the perfect storage solution. The open back design allows airflow within the unit to keep the electronics cool and does not feature cabinet vibrations or sonic distortion. The cabinet can be provided in white and black to complement any interior.

Dawsons Home Cinema upgrades to the new Artcoustic Spitfire range

Adding a new dimension to a home

Enter another world, where Hollywood comes home. A place where music and sound effects have an effect. Everything is automated at your control, lighting that illuminates your thoughts combined with all of your audio-visual needs. You can see speakers but you may not recognise them as they are disguised as works of art. Bespoke furniture hides necessary equipment so you can enjoy your audio-visual experience without being distracted by the kit that is responsible for creating it. The transformation of your living space into an enhanced cinema experience is bought to you by Dawsons Home Cinema, adding a new dimension to your home.
Great looks, great sound. Great news.

Mixed with the right kind of lighting, you won’t believe the intensity and consistency of sound from your speakers. Compliment your homes aesthetics. Feel the music, experience how true live sound can be reproduced using the most advanced technology available. Usually in the world of sound and cinema, you have to choose between great design and great performance. There are exceptions of course, but in general, that’s the way it is. Especially when it comes to loudspeaker design; if it looks good, it’s unlikely to sound good, and for some reason, if it sounds good, it very rarely looks good. You are now able to get the best of both worlds. They can reproduce music and movie soundtracks faithfully, accurately and in breathtaking detail. They appeal to the eye because they invented the idea of interchangeable screens. Quite simply, you choose how your speakers look.

Amplified Emotion

Dawsons are showing the first system in the world with the superb pro spitfire range - a precision loudspeaker, capable of producing extraordinary bass at one extreme, and sparkling high frequency detail at the other. Ideal for where the sound quality is paramount but the aesthetics are less crucial.

Chris Minh Doky chooses Spitfire

MINH

"My audience expects nothing less than perfect sounding albums from me. As a solo recording artist and producer I am therefor dependant on accurate and honest sounding speakers in my studio. Speakers that tell me the truth of what's recorded. Speakers that give me all frequencies clearly and evenly; from the highest soprano voice to the deepest acoustic bass. With Artcoustic Speakers I have found my perfect tool."

Chris Minh Doky stands out as one of the most talented bass players in contemporary music. The New York-based artist is regarded among the masters of the upright bass widely recognized for his passionate delivery and extraordinary technical gifts. With musical roots deriving from his love of American East Coast grooves and the lyric tradition of Scandinavia, Doky has developed a distinctive sound as well as created a style that is uniquely his own.

Parallel to leading his own band, Doky continues to play with some of the most significant jazz artists of today. Being an integral part of the Michael Brecker Quartet since 2001, he is also currently playing and touring with the Mike Stern Band.

New Spitfire precision monitor and matching subwoofer

Spitfire Sound System Professional Monitor

The Spitfire Monitor is based on the powerful DF75-55 X2 but with a more compact form and durable finish ideal for use where the aesthetics are less crucial i.e. behind a dedicated, fixed cinema screen. The Spitfire Monitor, like the DF75-55 X2, is one of the most versatile and arguably, for its size, the most powerful full-range model in the Artcoustic range. It is equally at home in a high-end hi-fi or home cinema system, a 200-seater cinema, or anything in-between. Anywhere, in fact, where the brief calls for a precision loudspeaker, capable of producing extraordinary bass at one extreme, and sparkling high frequency detail at the other. The Spitfire Monitor defies what has previously been possible in a compact loudspeaker design.

The X2 bass system employs twin 10" X2 woofers which take low frequency response down to 35Hz, while the twin rippled dome tweeters extend the high frequency response up to 40kHz at 96dB (1w +/-2dB). The Spitfire Monitor is ideal for use in high-end installations, where sound quality is paramount, such as mid-field to full-space studio monitoring, for medium to large sized home cinema installations, and for commercial use in bars, restaurants and corporate presentation facilities, including commercial movie theatres.

The Spitfire Monitor is bi-wirable, enabling control of the woofers and tweeters independently and comes as a mirrored pair for accurate stereo monitoring.

Artcoustic were proud to support the Sound and Vision event held by Cancer Research UK last week at Abbey Road Studios. A live and silent auction was held to raise money from donated pieces. We donated a pair of DF65-50 with bespoke artwork from Julian Opie. The silent auction ran throughout the evening with some fantastic iconic images from the music world, signed by artists and musicians, and bids were healthy throughout.
Then came the live auction. We were in Studio 2 (where the Beatles recorded) for most of the evening, with some cool pieces like an original drawing by Jimi Hendrix, Jamie Hewlett artwork (Gorillaz), an Ivor Novello award (for the Bee Gees!?!), rare Beatles stuff etc. We took the pieces, including the DF65-50s through to the main, large Studio One and the pieces were taken up on stage for a live auction. An auctioneer presented the pieces and squeezed money out of people. It was going well....£900 here, a £2K bid there.....then the DF65-50  came up as ‘Lot F’......... We were holding the DF65-50s up for all to see (which gets VERY heavy after a while) and the bids started...£1K...£1.5K...it went all the way up and there was finally a bid of £7K for them!!!  £7K!!!!!!!! We were all thrilled and the guy who bid was too. We ended up being the second highest bid on the evening, after some original music score for 'Yesterday' signed by Sir George Martin, which went for £15K! In all, £136,000 was raised on the evening for Cancer Research UK on what was a fantastic evening.   Donate here

ARTCOUSTIC SPEAKERS PUNCH UP LONDON'S ELECTRIC CINEMA

ARTCOUSTIC on-wall, high-performance speakers and subwoofers are now playing in The Electric Cinema, a luxurious movie theater, brasserie and private members' club in London that has become a hit with A-list celebrities. The 102-leather-seated theater is booked solid for screenings, often months in advance. As one London magazine put it, "It's not a question of who goes to The Electric Cinema… but who doesn't." The management of the Electric faced an enormous acoustical challenge. "The Electric is a listed [protected] building, and it is therefore extremely difficult to acoustically treat the room. A couple of well-known speaker manufacturers tried to solve the acoustical problems with their range of products, but they failed. We went in, did a test performance, and passed the test with highest grades. ARTCOUSTIC changed the Electric Cinema from a terrible dome into a visceral sound experience."

Products used in The Electric Cinema include the following ARTCOUSTIC models:

3 x DF75-55 Speakers (Left. Centre, Right)

2 x DFS100-75 Subwoofers. All models are located behind the perforated screen.

NYHEDSBREV
