Artcoustic Sponsors Copenhagen world Music Festival Event
In 1977, NASA sent the spacecraft Voyager 1 and 2 in the universe on a mission in outer space in search of clues and signs of intelligent life. With them on board, they had a CD for playback in the event that they were to encounter intelligent life out there in eternity. This CD, The Golden Record, contained different fragments of sound here from the ground, for example, the sound of a creaking carriage, children greeting in languages f the world, the sound of thunder and the sound of the finest man-made music, including a Bulgarian folk song.
The Voyager spacecraft recorded the interaction between the solar wind and the magnetosphere of other planets and moons in our solar system, and NASA has converted these vibrations into sounds that are within the human spectrum. This makes it possible to hear the heavenly distinct tones.
The concert in Koncertkirken in Copenhagen, created by Thomas Agergaard and performed by himself and the choir Usmifka, is a meeting between the Bulgarian sounds and voices from space.

Derek Kaplan new artist in the Artcoustic Art Gallery
We are proud to welcome New York based artist Derek Kaplan to the Artcoustic Art Gallery!
Derek Kaplan is a Zimbabwean-born artist now living and working in New York City. As a young boy growing up in Southern Africa, Derek was inspired by the colors and the natural beauty of the tropical grasslands that make up the African savanna. Rainfall was infrequent during the long dry season, but when it came, the clouds and storms that accompanied it inspired Derek’s earliest paintings.
Derek Kaplan in his and Fredrik Eklund's new Manhattan home together with Artcoustic Director, Patricia Ljungberg, showing Derek's art work on Artcoustic loudspeaker screens.
erek’s philosophy of art is simple: he thrives on abstract painting as it allows his carefree spirit the freedom to create acting on impulse, driven by instinct. He desires to create visceral works that engage his viewer, triggering a sensory response and strong emotion within them. He aims to create artworks that come to life, almost becoming their own life form, while pleasuring the eye and hinting at a world that lies deep beyond the surface of his paintings.
It is through painting that Derek shares his soul and his own personal discovery with the world. He continues to invent his story by painting.

Artcoustic awarded AVTech Media Award 2014/15
Artcoustic have received this year’s prestigious AV Tech Media award for the ‘Best High End Speaker System’ for their Spitfire series.
The judges said “Artcoustic’s SL Series of on-wall loudspeakers offers slender cabinets for snug system builds and gloriously impactful sonics, so those with aspirations for a high-end discreet cinema setup should apply. With the sensitivity of the main enclosures tipping 110db (helped by the 12 tweeters and 24 mid range cones), the Danish brand’s flagship model is easy to drive to room-filling SPLs.
The sound created from this 7.2 pack is immense in scale and packed with hard-hitting details. A worthy winner.”
New Impact SL Series Subwoofers
The new Impact SL Series Subwoofers are now shipping, replacing the Panel Sub Micro, Panel Sub Duo and Linax Subwoofers, and offering huge performance improvements.
The flagship Impact SL 3 subwoofer uses three 10” long-throw woofers, combined with our phase optimisation and controlled frequency overlap technology.
The result is a subwoofer that can reproduce low frequency signals accurately and effortlessly, with high power handling and extremely low distortion, right down to 15Hz.

"One for your shortlist - If you're serious about home cinema at the premium level and are planning a projectorbased dedicated room, then these need to be on your shortlist.
The newly slimmed-down design (the original Spitfire models were nearly twice as deep) will make them easier than ever to install, and Artcoustic's modular approach means the brand, or your installer, should be able to specify the configuration that's most apt for your space (and you therefore may find a more affordable package)."
