Versatile and With Style - High End Living with Artcoustic
An avid music and film fan, this affluent property developer wanted the ultimate owner of this residence to experience the superb quality of sound and vision he himself enjoys in his own home. In a superb location on the banks of the Thames and with views of the London Eye and the city skyline, the showroom apartment is just a few minutes walk from the famous Stamford Bridge, home of his favorite football team. The apartment was therefore to be kitted out with the latest technology capable of delivering everything from simulating the sound of a live rock concert to chilled out jazz, the latest movies and of course “Match of The Day”!
While the man of the house might want to enjoy entertainment at the touch of a button, it was essential that the technology should fit seamlessly into the elegant, luxurious scheme his wife had planned and designed to take advantage of the wonderful views.
The huge living space was to be divided into dining, relaxing and entertainment areas and the audio facility needed to reflect the different requirements of each zone. The installers immediately selected Artcoustic loudspeakers as the audio system for the interior- not only for their super sound and state of the art design but also for their versatility. This installer new an Artcoustic system would optimise the design of the clients' audio and video systems to complement their lifestyle and home décor. The solution was to use Artcoustic systems throughout the apartment. In the living room a set of Artcoustic DFF 180-43 X2 full range Artcoustic speakers standing at 1.8 metres high, an Artcoustic DF-Multi 50” LCR speaker, Artcoustic PA- 300 amplifiers and a 50” Vidikron flat panel screen have been chosen to deliver the depth of sound needed for listening to music and movie viewing in the sitting room. The Artcoustic loudspeakers and amplifiers have been elegantly installed in the large built-in storage cupboards – demonstrating another Artcoustic audio solution in addition to the wall hanging and floor standing options. On the outside of the cupboards, the speakers have been beautifully covered with rich crème coloured screens to perfectly blend in with the luxurious and contemporary setting.
The dining area posed another problem for the installers as the clients had other ideas for the wall space originally earmarked for the plasma screen and which was now to be used to house a bespoke mirrored wine cabinet. With so many windows in the apartment and very little available wall space the only way left, without obscuring any of the views, was quite simply up! An Artcoustic DF-Multi 42” LCR speaker and a 42” Vidikron flat screen have been recessed into the ceiling on a motorised lift and are completely hidden from view for romantic dinner parties but can drop down at the touch of a button for catching up on the latest scores.
Another superb Artcoustic installation which sits in harmony with the chic contemporary interior of the apartment. The clients are delighted with the results which have produced a home full of imaginative ideas and creative flair.

This brand new facility will showcase the company’s state-of-the-art high-end audio solutions to their exclusive dealers, consultants, architects, interior designers and end users.
