In this Northamptonshire period property project, Artcoustic and Maven partnered to create the perfect balance of technology and aesthetics.
Maven's design vision for this day room was centred around preserving the room's elegant ambiance, with a stunning stone fireplace as the focal point. Their mission was to discreetly incorporate advanced technology while exceeding the client's high expectations.

For the optimal viewing experience, a 55” Sony OLED screen was strategically positioned above the fireplace and a custom TV frame with automated canvas artwork was installed with additional timber side fillers incorporated so there was no visible evidence of technology, even when looking at the frame side-on.
Collaborating closely with the designer and the manufacturer, Maven ensured that the frame and artwork not only complemented the room's décor but also integrated an Artcoustic SL Multi Soundbar – a central component of the remarkable 5.2 surround sound system.
Dolby Atmos wasn't required, due to the property already featuring two dedicated reference cinema systems for those seeking a cinematic experience.

To maintain audio consistency throughout the space, 4 x Artcoustic Evolve 4-2 speakers were placed on the flanking and rear walls for surround channels. These speakers were colour-matched to the high-end 'off-white' wall colour and feature fabric front screens, aligning with the room's visual aesthetic.
In addition, a Denon X-series AVR and various sources were discreetly positioned within four main AV racks, ensuring a clean and uncluttered living space. Two colour-matched Artcoustic Subwoofers were mathematically placed at the front and rear of the room, providing a balanced bass response finely tuned to the room's unique characteristics.
The result is a living space that effortlessly combines design and technology, a testament to Maven's creative vision and Artcoustic's expertise. Maven's client cherishes this room, using it for various purposes, from cosy movie nights to immersive music enjoyment.
“The client absolutely loves this room, in fact it is one of the most used rooms in the house as it is naturally part of the gathering area of the living spaces. This room also links to an adjoining kitchen with a similarly spec’d system and the two can be used individually or linked at the touch of a button. The room is stunning with minimal technology impact which the client wanted, yet can transform into a fantastic room to watch movies, entertain with music or play the odd games console – it has everything without needing to shout about it!”
