Congratulations to Martin Wakefield and the team at Wakefields Smarter Home Technology for this month’s Installation of the Month.

When faced with the challenge of transforming a room without altering its existing decor, Wakefields Smarter Home Technology embarked on a journey with the client. Together, they navigated every decision, exploring the optimal balance between a top-tier cinematic experience and the room's existing aesthetics. The result was a stunning Dolby Atmos 7.2.4 system that seamlessly integrated into the magnificent house.

The highlight feature of the project was the collaboration with Fleur Interiors to create a space that not only delivered cinematic excellence but also blended harmoniously with the property's style. Custom-built cabinets housing electronics and rear subwoofers showcased the fusion of functionality and elegance.

Artcoustic loudspeakers, including SL 12-6 for LCR, SL 3-1 for surrounds, and Architect 4-2 for height channels, were chosen for their unrivaled performance. Wakefields Smarter Home Technology values Artcoustic's support, ensuring the best specifications and layout for each system.

Working with Fleur Interiors, the project's design inspiration was to turn an underused room into a classical family living space with the ultimate cinema experience.

Client Quote: "After a couple of months, we returned to revisit the cinema, and we could see from the timers on the projector that the family were watching the equivalent of around 7 movies a week in the room. I think that says it all—from an unused room with little purpose to one of the most favoured rooms in the house."
