CHRISTINA NEUSTRUP | KINRADEN

Christina Neustrup is a rare combination of sharp business mind and deeply intuitive creative. For two decades she has helped shape the Danish fashion and lifestyle landscape - building brands, refining narratives and translating culture into commercial clarity. Today, as CEO & Creative Brand Director at Kinraden, she is steering one of Denmark’s most progressive jewellery houses; a brand where responsibility, design, and beauty are not in competition - but inseparable.

Like Artcoustic, Kinraden’s world is about longevity, purity of idea and the courage to do less — but better.

We visited Christina to talk about quality of life, the evolution from fashion to fine jewellery, the role of sound in shaping emotion and atmosphere — and why, for her, true luxury is defined by meaning, not excess.

This is #myartcoustic with Christina Neustrup.

Please tell us about your professional background

My professional journey has been shaped by creativity, vision, and a deep love for stories—whether told through fashion, art, or objects. I’ve spent over 20 years in the fashion and lifestyle industries, sharpening my focus on strategic communication and business development. From launching brands to shaping narratives, I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of creativity and commerce. In 2022, I took the reins as CEO of Kinraden, an extraordinary Danish jewelry brand where sustainability and artistry flow together.

What is ‘quality of life’ to you?

Quality of life is about alignment—living authentically and making choices. For me It’s not just about material comfort, it’s about feeling a sense of purpose surrounding yourself with good people and enjoying your everyday. It’s about having the space and freedom to create, love, and laugh in the small moments. It’s about living in tune with what feels right for you and respecting the world and people around you and their choices.

What inspired the change of industry to Kinraden?

It wasn’t so much a change as it was a natural evolution. Fashion and jewelry both hold stories, they both carry weight and meaning beyond the surface. Kinraden’s commitment to sustainability, its values rooted in deep respect for the earth and craft, drew me in. I was ready for something that aligned more with my belief in creating beauty that lasts, that serves something greater. Jewelry, like fashion, is a form of expression—but at Kinraden, it’s also a symbol of responsibility and care.

What does Artcoustic’s concept of a lifetime investment in high-end quality and design mean to you?

It means creating something that transcends time. In a world obsessed with the next new thing, there’s something deeply grounding about investing in pieces that last, that can be passed down and still hold meaning. At Kinraden, we value sustainability—crafting things that endure both in quality and in spirit. Artcoustic shares that same philosophy, and that resonates with me.

What triggered your dedication to sustainability?

I’ve always believed that beauty should be responsible. Working in fashion for so many years, I saw firsthand the waste, the excess. When I had the opportunity to make a difference, first as a consultant and now with Kinraden, it felt right.

‘Sustainability isn’t a trend- it’s a necessity. We have to rethink how we create, consume, and engage with the world. For me, it’s about making choices - for the planet, for people, and for the future.’

How is music or sound utilized in your private and/or work life? How does it move you?

Sound is essential—it fills the spaces you didn’t even know were empty. In my work life, music sets the tone for creativity, focus, and even reflection. At home, it brings warmth, it connects us and it allows space for dancing and for calm, contemplation or for celebration. Music has this way of moving us from one state to another and of bringing people together.

Was Artcoustic’s design versatility important to you?

Absolutely. Design isn’t just about how something looks—it’s about how it feels in your space, how it fits into your life. The fact that Artcoustic offers versatility in design is key. It allows me to align the aesthetics of the speaker with the space, to make it a seamless part of the environment rather than an intrusion. And I love that Artcoustic speakers look like loudspeakers!

How is music or sound important to you personally and with your family at home?

At home, sound is the backdrop to our lives. It fills the rooms with something intangible but essential. Music is a thread that ties us together—whether it’s a lazy Sunday morning with something jazzy playing in the background, or an evening where we’re dancing with our daughter in the living room. It creates the atmosphere, it holds the space for us to be together.

What’s on your favourite playlist now?

Right now, I’m listening to Yasmin Lacey — her energy, voice and poetry speak to me. Also, a lot of The Velvet Underground, Nina Simone, and Leonard Cohen. That’s the kind of sound that feeds my soul.

What drew you to choose Artcoustic speakers for the new Kinraden showroom and for your home?

Artcoustic speakers are more than just speakers - they combine the art of high-end sound and the art of design. In both the Kinraden showroom and my home, they don’t just deliver sound, they deliver a mood, a feeling. Their design, their presence, aligns with the ethos of Kinraden - beauty with substance. It was an easy choice because they embody everything I value: quality, artistry, and timelessness.

Does “Ying and Yang” or “The Happy Couple Product” sound like something you may recognize from your experience with Artcoustic?

Yes, I can see that. It’s the balance between form and function, sound and silence, art and technology. Artcoustic has mastered that delicate dance. The speakers are as visually striking as they are sonically perfect—a marriage of aesthetics and performance that feels effortless, but carries immense thought and intention.

‘SOUND IS ESSENTIAL — IT FILLS THE SPACES YOU DIDN’T EVEN KNOW WERE EMPTY.’
