Congratulations to Tom and the team at Butler Harwell for this month's installation.
For this Butler Harwell's project, the challenge was to create a media room that was able to transition from a regular living space during the day to a high-performance solution in the evening. This room also had to cater to the family's lifestyle, and to fit around their daughter's bedtime, by offering an immersive cinematic experience once she had gone to bed.

The setup features a Dolby Atmos 5.1.2 configuration with two Artcoustic Sub2 subwoofers, Artcoustic HSPL Soundbar, Evolve 3-1s for surround and Architect 2-1s for overhead. By day, the 55" OLED TV provides daytime entertainment. By night, the set up reveals a 2.37:1 aspect ratio, 4K/5K projector and a drop-down screen, measuring an impressive 274cm in width.
The standout feature of the project is the drop-down screen, which is concealed within the bespoke cabinet joinery, allowing the room to be a family space during the day, and an immersive cinema experience, for evening enjoyment.
Butler Harwell needed a loudspeaker solution to complement the shelving display and bespoke custom joinery, whilst also matching the room's aesthetics whilst delivering exceptional audio quality.
The bespoke Artcoustic HSPL Soundbar was specified to accommodate the custom width of the drop-down screen and to integrate as part of the furniture when not in use. This design detail allows the loudspeakers to blend in perfectly with the room's decor, offering a the perfect harmony of design and performance.
