THIS IS the Artcoustic technology

Slim speakers. Exceptional sound. Seamlessly integrated

At first glance, Artcoustic speakers do not look like traditional high-performance loudspeakers. They are slim, discreet, and designed to integrate naturally into modern interiors. This often leads to the assumption that smaller speakers cannot deliver high output or true high-fidelity performance.

In reality, the opposite is true.

For more than 25 years, Artcoustic has focused on solving a very specific challenge: how to deliver industry-leading sound performance in the slimmest possible form factor. This is deeply rooted in Danish design tradition, where aesthetics and function must coexist without compromise.

The result is a loudspeaker system that combines architectural integration with genuine high-performance audio.

Cinema-grade sound, without compromise

Artcoustic combines the best characteristics from two worlds:

The precision and tonal accuracy of Hi-Fi

The output, dynamics, and control of professional audio

This hybrid approach allows our systems to deliver:

Clear and natural dialogue

High dynamic range with low distortion

Consistent performance across both small and large spaces

Our loudspeakers are designed with high sensitivity, meaning they convert amplifier power into sound extremely efficiently. This allows them to reach reference levels with ease, while maintaining clarity and control.

  • Small speakers - big sound

  • Small speakers - big sound

One system. Any room. Perfect balance.

All Artcoustic loudspeakers are built around the same core design principles:

Identical voicing and tonal balance across the entire range

Modular construction based on the number of drivers

Scalable solutions for any room size or application

This ensures a fully timbre-matched system, where all speakers share the same sonic signature. Whether used in a living room, a multiroom setup, or a dedicated cinema, the result is a seamless and coherent soundstage.

Small speakers. Big performance.

Traditional loudspeakers are often large because they need internal volume to reproduce low frequencies.

Artcoustic takes a different approach through a sub-satellite concept:

Slim speakers are deadicated to mid and high frequencies

Separate subwoofers handle the low frequencies

This offers several advantages:

Reduced cabinet size without compromising output

Cleaner midrange due to removal of low-frequency interference

Greater flexibility in speaker and subwoofer placement

Our subwoofers are based on advanced bandpass designs, allowing higher output and deeper bass from a more compact enclosure.

Inspired by professional concert halls & cinemas

Line array principles adapted for the home

Artcoustic loudspeakers are inspired by line array technology used in professional concert halls and cinemas.

By using multiple drivers aligned in a precise configuration, we achieve:

Increased sensitivity and output

Controlled vertical dispersion

Reduced reflections from floors and ceilings

This results in:

Clearer sound over distance

More consistent coverage throughout the room

Improved intelligibility and detail

Unlike traditional point-source speakers, this approach allows sound to be directed more precisely towards the listener.

The typical omnidirectional light bulb, which in many ways is similar to the typical HI-FI dome tweeter.

a ceiling lamp

A more controlled light source, with guided directivity from a lamp shade illustrating the more pro audio-oriented horn-load design.

Clarity and dialogue performance

Dialogue clarity is a fundamental priority in every Artcoustic system.

This is achieved through:

Careful driver alignment

Flexible crossover design away from critical vocal frequencies

High sensitivity for improved dynamic headroom

Sub-satellite design reducing interference

The result is speech that remains clear and intelligible, even at lower listening levels.

Controlled dispersion and spatial precision

Dispersion defines how sound is distributed within a room.

Artcoustic loudspeakers are engineered to provide:

Controlled vertical dispersion

Wide horizontal coverage

Minimal unwanted reflections

This ensures:

Even sound distribution

Reduced energy loss

Greater detail and accuracy at the listening position

"Upon experiencing the Artcoustic line array speaker system, it leaves an unforgettable impression. The sound is expansive, and the numerous drivers deliver an indescribable level of dynamic headroom."

Kim Donvig, Co-Founder and Chief Engineer at Artcoustic.

THE IMPORTANCE OF FOCUSED AUDIO

Looking at this dispersion example, we can see the importance of a focused audio ‘beam’ to our seating position. The Artcoustic Spitfire A6 is configured through a narrower dispersion and can ‘target’ the listener in the most efficient way. It is this, together with output, that ensures that the audio is directed to the listener with minimal sound ‘wastage’, delivering an outstanding experience.

In cinema sound, dispersion is key to an immersive experience. It dictates how sound waves spread within a space, influencing various aspects. Artcoustic’s precision-engineered loudspeakers prioritize controlled dispersion, ensuring audiences experience cinema sound that is consistently clear, balanced, and immersive.

Immersive sound and Dolby Atmos

Artcoustic systems are designed to meet the highest standards for immersive audio.

Our loudspeakers are included in the Dolby Atmos Room Design Tool (DARDT), meaning they meet Dolby’s requirements for reference-level home cinema design.

This ensures:

Accurate speaker placement guidance

Optimal spatial resolution

Full compatibility with Dolby Atmos systems

The modular nature of Artcoustic loudspeakers makes them ideal for achieving precise three-dimensional sound placement.

Craftsmanship and build quality
