Immersive AV meets everyday living in a contemporary family home.
Congratulations to Nick and the team at Function Control Ltd for their exceptional delivery of this month's featured AV project — a stunning example of how high-performance audio and contemporary design can coexist seamlessly.
The brief was to create a multi-purpose living space that could deliver an exceptional experience for TV, motorsports, gaming and movie nights — with a real focus on high-fidelity sound. The result is a sophisticated and highly usable media space right at the heart of the client’s home.

To meet these diverse demands, Function Control specified a Dolby Atmos 5.1.4 system, balancing immersive surround sound with minimal visual impact. The speaker selection — including the Artcoustic SL Multi Soundbar XL, Evolve 3-1, SL Target, and SL Architect in-ceiling speakers — was made with performance, style and room integration in mind. Paired with the SUB2 and CPH1000 Sub Amp, powered by an Anthem MRX1140 AVR, this system doesn’t just sound impressive — it looks it too.
As always, Artcoustic’s design support services were key. Room analysis, a bespoke client proposal, and final system calibration helped ensure the setup was not only technically precise, but also beautifully tailored to the space.
