The Artcoustic Sub Z is the smallest subwoofer in our line up, delivering amazing bass ideal for smaller installations.

Employing a single 10” long-throw woofer combined with the Artcoustic in-house designed 4th order bandpass technology, this subwoofer reproduces low frequency signals accurately and effortlessly, with high power handling and extremely low distortion.

The Artcoustic Sub Z subwoofer is ideal for use in high-end installations where sound quality is paramount, such as home cinemas & media rooms in smaller spaces, and commercial installations such as bars, restaurants and cafes.

Artcoustic Sub Z-IWS is the slimmest subwoofer in our line-up. This in-wall subwoofer delivers amazing bass, ideal for smaller installations, residential TV setups, smaller sized cinemas as well as commercial installations, such as bars restaurants and cafés.

Subwoofer Placement
The Sub Z-IWS, as well as the Sub Z, Sub 1, Sub 2, Sub 3 and Sub 4 effectively allow for more flexibility in positioning your subwoofers.

With this range, you have the advantage of a smaller design, which hereby can be positioned in more suitable places in the room.

This enables you to design systems which address the problematic room modes at the design stage instead of trying to fight them with aggressive EQ once installed.

The end result is a much more dynamic, smoother, more accurate bass in every room.

This model changes the perception of what a high-performance subwoofer can be in an architectural setting. Featuring dual 12” long-throw woofers combined with Artcoustic’s in-house designed 6th-order bandpass technology, the Sub3 delivers low-frequency signals with authority, speed, and precision — all while maintaining low distortion and excellent power handling.

With increased cabinet volume and double the driver surface area, the Sub 3-12 offers higher SPL capability, making it suitable for larger spaces and demanding installations where dynamic headroom and clean bass reproduction are essential such as larger private cinema, mid- to full-space studio monitoring, and commercial spaces including bars, restaurants, and corporate AV systems.

For extremely high SPL requirements, use multiple units.

The Sub 4-12 INFRA is a compact yet powerful infra-subwoofer designed around four in-house-engineered 12″ long-throw drivers. Its advanced 6th-order bandpass enclosure is optimised for maximum output in the 15–20 Hz range, delivering bass you don’t just hear - you feel.

Unlike conventional subs, it achieves extreme infrasonic performance with outstanding efficiency, keeping amplifier requirements low while maintaining clean, controlled sound. The tall, narrow cabinet makes it easy to integrate discreetly behind cinema screens or within architectural spaces - perfect for projects where space is limited but real infra-bass is essential.

Reliable, efficient, and engineered for installers, the Sub4-12 INFRA delivers cinematic low-end impact without oversized enclosures.

THE STORY BEHIND THE SUB 4-12 INFRA
Designing subwoofers has always been one of the greatest challenges in loudspeaker engineering — and yet, it’s the subwoofer that carries the very soul of any cinematic experience. It’s the hardest working element in a system, constantly pushed to its limits, and ironically, it’s also the one component no one wants to see. For cinema use, it must disappear quietly behind the screen, while still delivering earth-shaking realism far below what most systems can reproduce. When we began developing the Sub4-12 INFRA, we knew exactly what we wanted: a true infra-subwoofer capable of delivering linear, effortless energy below 20 Hz — and to do so within a footprint that fits behind a cinema screen. 

In our early research, we found two recurring traits among competing products:

-       They are physically very large
-       They are very expensive

We decided to take a completely different approach. Instead of one huge driver, we chose four precision 12-inch drivers, working together in perfect phase alignment. In total cone area and linear excursion, this equals a massive 24-inch driver — but with far lower distortion, higher thermal power handling, and greater reliability. To further optimize output and efficiency, we employed our proven 6th-order bandpass architecture, a design principle we’ve refined over many years. This allows us to achieve extreme low-frequency performance from a surprisingly compact enclosure. 

The tall, narrow cabinet was carefully engineered for maximum rigidity, minimal resonance, and seamless installation behind cinema screens or within architectural spaces. The result is our most powerful and most extended subwoofer ever:

-       F10 at just 12 Hz — true infrasonic depth
-       126 dB at 30 Hz — immense dynamic output
-       Compact footprint — easy to integrate, easy to hide
-       Lower cost than comparable infrasonic subs, without compromise in performance
